Purpose:
The purpose of this task is to provide the MRTC with contractor support to provide full time qualified
Subject Matter Experts (SME) to facilitate the Programs of Instruction (POIs) of the U.S. Marine
Corps Forces, Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of C4 communications equipment, safely and properly operating general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, IAW Marine Corps and SOCOM maintenance standards. 
  • Assist the MRTC S-6 Maintenance Chief with intermediate maintenance activity (IMA) repairs employing safely, effective technical and standard soldering techniques in repairing and maintaining information system components.   
  • Be capable of lifting equipment weighing 50 pounds.
                                                                                          
Required Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • Served a minimum of 1 year as an E5 or higher
  • 5 years’ experience as a ground radio repair/electronics technician in USMC MOS 2841 (Ground Electronics Transmission Systems Maintainer) or similar DoD equivalent. --OR--
  • Associates Degree or 2 year technical school certificate in electronics repair or industrial electronics maintenance
  • Must have completed a DoD Electronics Maintenance Repair School. 
  • Current Miniature/Micro-miniature/Automatic Test Equipment, Network Plus, and Security Plus certifications required
  • 1 year of experience using MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Possess a SECRET clearance on day one of contract execution.
