The purpose of this task is to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform C4IM services
  • SharePoint Development and Support: SharePoint architecture, custom application development, service operation, and branding/user experience design support for all supported SharePoint portals (public facing internet web site, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and NSANet). 
  • SharePoint Architecture: analyze business requirements to recommend solutions using SharePoint. have an understanding of what functionality SharePoint can provide, the types of configurations that’s available, the limitations of the functionality, and what can be achieved via OOTB (Out of the Box) or through customization. Have a broad understanding of SharePoint’s foundational technologies (IIS, ASP.NET, and Active Directory) and knowledge on how to integrate SharePoint with other systems. Must be familiar with best practice approaches in defining a strategy for SharePoint and other common tasks like migration. 
  • SharePoint Custom Application Development: design, plan, develop, test, deploy, and support custom applications on the SharePoint platform. Most development will be client-side applications interacting with the SharePoint backend for data storage but some .NET development may be required for server installation packages and sandboxed solution or app development. Must be an expert in client-side development using JavaScript and supporting libraries (e.g. jQuery, vis.js, or angular). All projects shall be thoroughly documented. Maintain revision control and source code management (SCM) of all projects. Be proficient in .NET languages and Visual Studio. Use Agile/SCRUM to manage development.
  • SharePoint Service Operation: operate a Tier 1/Level 1 service desk to execute Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) service operation processes - to include incident management, problem management, event management, request fulfilment, and access management - necessary to ensure all portals are operating at a satisfactory level in accordance with (IAW) local policy and any Service Level Agreements (SLA) or Operational Level Agreements (OLA). Maintain non-personnel entities (NPE) – email distribution lists and mailboxes - to facilitate permission management and dissemination of information. The service desk typically receives between 5-10 incidents daily. Develop and conduct monthly introductory and intermediate level SharePoint training for end users and site managers.  Must be proficient in using SharePoint Designer to customize web pages and create workflows.
  • SharePoint Branding/User Experience Design: maintain functionality, appearance, and accuracy of supported web sites including optimizing for responsive design and continually working towards improving the website customer experience. Shall monitor website metrics and leverage analytics to enhance website performance and optimize website traffic, in line with command communication objectives. Must be proficient in a variety of web and graphics software applications, techniques, and tools (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility. Shall ensure the web site is in compliance with Army website standards and policies (e.g., section 508 accessibility and privacy act).
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience, Experience can substitute for education.
  • SSCP or CEH certification
  • Active TS/SCI
