The purpose of this task is to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to support the RCC-C
Must be well versed with aspects of the DoD Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) network architecture and/or the Network Modernization CONUS (NETMOD-C) LAN architecture. This position will be part of a team responsible for multiple aspects of network migration from the Legacy Army distributed TLA architecture to the regionalized architecture of JRSS. As a Network Engineer, you will research, evaluate and develop standards relating to network operations and related technologies. This is a hands-on position expected to perform both at the command line and design levels.
  • In-depth experience with complex layer 3 routing  
  • Support BGP, VRF, VLAN, MPLS, ACL, VPN and load balancing technologies
  • Experience with FW, TLA and LAN & WAN migrations a plus
  • In-depth knowledge cyber security standards
  • Highly tuned network troubleshooting skills with DoD network policies a plus
  • Ability to multitask frequently and efficiently
  • Excellent time management and documentation skills.
  • Support after-hours ASIs as needed
  • Works well under time restraints and pressure
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues
  • A proven track record of reliability and consistency in work performance
  • Provisioning application, controlling access to applications, troubleshooting internal and external connectivity
  • Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot network issues and liaise with necessary stakeholders to timely resolve issues
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • HS +7 or AA/AS +5 or BA/BS +3 years technical experience
  • In-depth experience supporting enterprise environment. 
  • IAT Level II (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security or SSCP) or higher required at hire
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or SSCP required within 60 days
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNP, or higher
  • In-depth experience with Palo Alto FWs or Cisco ASAs a plus
  • 6 years Routing and Firewall experience in complex environments
  • 8 Years + WAN Management experience
  • F5, Cisco 9K, MPLS, and VRF experience
