Purpose:
The purpose of this task is to provide an Active Directory (AD) Systems Administrator located in Ft. Huachuca, AZ! This position will support the Regional Cyber Center – CONUS (RCC-C) as part of the AD Team, with a focus on the operation of AD domain controllers that provide DNS and authentication to CONUS Army users.
 
Responsibilities:
The Active Directory (AD) Senior SME will operate, monitor, sustain, and secure the Active Directory Enterprise Forest, to include the forest, domains, and all remote domain controllers (DC) on multiple Department of Defense (DoD) networks at multiple locations.  Typical daily duties will include:
 
  • Create and sustain Group Policy Objects to meet theater, installation, and organizational requirements.
  • Perform security review of scan results in support of Active Directory migrations to the CONUS Forest and report those results to the COR.
  • Configure, operate, sustain, and secure Army Enterprise Out of Band Management (AEOOBM) enclaves.
  • Configure, operate, sustain, and secure the CONUS based Public Key Infrastructure / Certificate Authority (PKI/CA) servers/enclaves in support of certificate auto-generation/issuance to CONUS theater devices.
  • Perform systems administration for workstations, laptops, zero clients, and servers.
  • Draft backup and failover SOPs for COR approval that address such possible disruptions as loss, damage, or denial of access to key infrastructure services; failure or non-performance of critical providers; loss or corruption of key information; sabotage or commercial espionage; and deliberate infiltration or attack on critical information systems.
  • Analyze systems outages and recommend preventive measures.
  • Manage the virtual infrastructure for Identity Access Management (IdAM) for non-USARCC-C managed forest owners to include OCONUS sites.
  • Draft, maintain and test the password COOP Plan.
  •  Maintain passwords and community strings according to regulation and the plan.               
     
Required Certifications
  • GSEC
  • Must acquire Microsoft server certification MCP 70-410 (equivalent or higher) within 6 months.  
 
Education:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
 
Required Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • Minimum Two (2) years demonstrated/practical hands-on experience working in a DoD enterprise network environment.
