The purpose of this task is to support the SYSMAN team, which provides enterprise services in a cutting edge Cyber environment.
The Systems Engineer:
  • Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure general purpose and critical computing assets for the DoDIN-A through System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH), and supporting modules.
  • Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure approximately 50 servers, one SAN, three (3) tape libraries, approximately 350 site SCCM Tier II servers and 1025 SCOM agents.
  •  Approximately 9,100 SYSMAN incident/event/service request tickets require resolution each year.
  • Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure SCOM agents on over 400 Domain Controllers Servers.
  • Maintain the Enterprise SCCM Tier I application and SQL databases.
  • Rebuild approximately 30 site Tier II SCCM servers per month.
  •  Assume responsibility for monitoring, operating, securing, and sustaining the site Tier II SCCM servers once re-built.
  •  Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure 14 ITSM Mid-tier servers (13 NIPRNET mid-tier servers, one SIPRNET mid-tier server) that provide the web interface to the ITSM servers.
  • Operate, monitor, secure, and sustain the SAN, VMware cluster servers, and backup systems to ensure consistent, optimal performance.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain SAN space to ensure optimal use.
  • Document applications and usage by application; monitor database status; and resolve database management system problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • CCNA, CCDA, CISSP, MCSE, MCITP Enterprise Administrator.
  • Sec+ CE or higher
  • HS +8 years’ experience, or AA/AS +4, or BS/BA +2
