Purpose:
The purpose of this task is to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to support the RCC-C
 
Responsibilities:
The Network Administrator (JRSS O&M):
 
  • Provide support for Joint Base Customer Edge (JBCE) router operations as well as router operations support for routing devices within the JRSS boundary.
  • Analyze and optimize network device performance, network traffic, and utilization. Analyze boundary device performance data and traffic utilization.
  • Analyze boundary device performance data and traffic utilization.
  •  Leverage the capabilities of the SMT's Network Monitoring Tools to provide an effective, proactive security posture.
  • Update existing tool set displays and dashboards, as needed, to meet the customer's requirements.
  • Configure, implement, and troubleshoot NEC network Layer 2 structures for each base scheduled for JRSS migration in coordination with the JMT to include devices under NEC O&M.
  • The SMT will follow NETMOD-C EIP architecture.
  • Deploy, install, configure, test, and perform cutovers for the Collection Architecture Stacks within each NEC LAN in coordination with the JMT.
  •  Provide the technical and implementation support to standardize each NEC LAN subnet in accordance with the JMT approved subnet standard.
  • Operate, manage, and defend the JRSS constellation, their SIPR equivalents, managed by the SMT, the management networks and systems (JMS), and the underlying workstations, servers, storage networks, and systems of the SMT.
  • Perform site surveys of all sites scheduled for JRSS migration.
  • Surveys shall include the location and documentation of each legacy TLA stack, documentation of the building's floor plan, documentation of travel requirements between TLA node sites within a single site, and identification of all DMZ asset physical locations.
  • Additional items may be required that are site specific prior to migration as tasked by the COR.
  • Assist and support the Government in identifying tenant unit security devices (tenant firewalls)); provide recommendations on technical courses of action (COAs) to transition these boundaries into the JRSS environment when directed by the COR.
  • Assist and support the Government in identifying Communities of Interest (COI) currently not a part of base network and provide recommendations on technical COAs to transition these COIs into the JRSS environment when directed by the COR.                        
     
Required Certifications
  • IT I/ CDN-IS;IAT level III
  • CCNA, CCDA, CISSP, MCSE, MCITP Enterprise Administrator
  • Security + CE or higher
 
Education:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline
  • HS +8 years’ experiences, or AA/AS +4, or BS/BA +2
 
Required Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • Minimum two (2) years demonstrated/practical hands-on experience working in a DoD enterprise network environment.
