Purpose:
The purpose of this task is to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to support the RCC-C
 
Responsibilities:
The Subject Matter Expert (JRSS SMT):
  • Provide and perform network address management for other applicable services and DNS.
  •  Analyze and monitor circuit and protocol utilization to prevent circuit saturations and network outages.
  • Perform a deep packet analysis of solution components in efforts to troubleshoot and isolate network incidents.
  • Manage and administer the change management function for the Service Migration Team (SMT) IAW the DISA change management process.
  •  Provide documentation to DISA to be input into the DISA/Joint Migration Team (JMT) knowledge management database.
  • Develop and maintain a baseline of all networks, systems, software, and software interfaces operated by the SMT.
  • Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure SMT Network Security Systems which include the IPS/IDS, firewall, proxy, and routers.
  •  Participate in scheduled teleconferences to determine level of effort, identify problems and solutions.
  • Request, receive, study, and translate vendor base JRSS/CE configurations for routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, IPS/IDS, and NETOPS tools and applications.
  •  Assist with enterprise migration planning scheduling, and task assignments to team members as necessary in accordance with existing methodologies.
  • Develop and implement the SMT migration schedule IAW the JMT schedule.
  • Coordinate with JMT and prepare design changes for initial enterprise network stacks scheduled for migration.
  • Analyze legacy equipment and their underlying uses; develop a strategy to assist the end user community with provisioning JRSS using approved naming standards and templates.
  •  Identify, communicate and resolve parallel operational issues in the global community as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and DISA to resolve and de-conflict services and responsibilities.
  •  Escalate issues which cannot be resolved to the SMT Director.
  • Perform and assist in architecture set up and design deliverables related to migration.
  • Execute required set ups, testing and overall migration execution and perform training and knowledge transfer as required.
  • Assist the local NEC in decommissioning or repurposing decommissioned equipment during migration to the JRSS.



Required Certifications
  • IT I/ IAT II; CND-IS
  • MCSE, CCNA or higher
  • Security + CE or higher
 
Education:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security or related discipline.
 
 
Required Skills/Qualifications:
 
  • HS +8 years of Information Technology (IT) experience or AA/AS +6 or BA/BS +2.
