Job Title: Lead Senior Programmer (Programmer V) Job Location: Tampa, FL Salary: Competitive, Depends on Qualifications Clearance: Ability to pass a Tier 1 / NACI background investigation Travel: Not Anticipated
Purpose: The purpose of this task is to provide training infrastructure, design, development, delivery and program support to VBA’s Training Management & Performance Improvement (TMPI) division.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Provide a weekly summary report describing activities, issues, resolutions and implementation by project and business line.
Deployment support (content created by VBA or other contracted developers). Historically, deployments number approximately 50 per month.
Retirement and historical documentation
Support requests such as: User support, Developer Support, User Management and permissions and Help Desk Support. Historically, this averages approximately 250 support requests per month
Network administration
Interface with the leased network vendor
Support demonstrations, which average approximately four per month
Develop format recommendations and solutions
Continually monitor, collect data, conduct analysis and apply expertise to recommend procedural and technological revisions
Support adherence to VA, Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements, policies, and laws
Ensure continuity of operations for VBA workforce
Maintaining and managing secure external servers capable of hosting multiple applications and training for the VBA workforce.
Maintain and Modify web-services/APIs
Support maintaining current Authority to Operator (ATO) in accordance with VBA, FISMA, and NIST requirements
Follow VA Branding, VA Web Development, VA information assurance, FISMA, and NIST polices
Develop mock-ups and/or prototypes and validate with TMPI and other VBA IPT members prior to development
Quality Control and Quality Assurance
Monitoring and data collection to ensure features or application meets requirements
Knowledge and Experience:
Master’s Degree in related field and 6 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 8 years related experience
