Purpose People, Technology and Processes, LLC is seeking a Security Specialist to assist with performing human resources and security functions in support of Corporate Operations at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head (NSWC IHD), Picatinny, New Jersey Detachment, and other Indian Head tenants such as Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Security Specialist provides program management, administrative, and coordination support for the command’s security responsibilities performing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative duties. Tasking may relate to all security programs, including but not limited to: transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying of classified material; supporting inventories of classified materials; preparing for inspections; assisting with finger printing and insuring classified documents are properly marked, safeguarded; and uses personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control.
A Bachelor’s degree in military coursework associated with security management, Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), and associated areas
Minimum Required Experience:
Six (6) years of demonstrated progressively responsible experience with naval operations, organizations, systems, facilities, and management processes. Demonstrated experience with Navy security programs, regulations, and instructions including: Two (2) or more years of experience performing Navy security functions and requirements as described above in the function’s description.
An Associate Degree and ten (10) years demonstrated experience supporting security requirements associated with the operations of the Navy Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) community, national, regional, or command related Navy AT/FP, physical security, and related security requirements may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
This position requires a clear understanding of Operations Security (OPSEC) and assists with all OPSEC related tasks. Candidates must have demonstrated experience with Navy security programs, regulations, and instructions including: Two (2) or more years of experience performing Navy security functions.
