Job Title: NSWC -Special Operations Tactical Medic (SOTM) Job Location: New Orleans, LA Salary: Competitive, Depends on Qualifications Clearance: Secret Travel: TBD Purpose: The purpose of this task is to provide support to Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC). Special Operations Tactical Medic (SOTM) Training Support Services are responsible for the personnel, management, materials necessary to support the operational requirements of SOTM and SOTM Sustainment Courses of Instruction.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Contractor is Responsible for support of instruction of the SOTM and SOTM Sustainment COIs.
Course instructors shall complete the formal training and certification requirements for an instructor.
Contractor is responsible for provide training, instructional support, and
possesses skills in the methodology of curriculum and test question development, effective classroom instructional techniques, employment of training aids, student progress measurement strategies and course management.
Course Topics Include all Critical Task List (CTL) items from the Special Operations
Forces Baseline Interoperability Standards (SOFBIS) 350-29 not limited to and including:
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Emergency Medical Technician.
• NREMT Paramedic (NRP)
• National Hyperbaric Society Dive Medicine Technician
• Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for Providers
• Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC)
• Clinical and Field expedient Medicine.
Requirements: General -
Active SECRET Security Clearance.
Must possess a current Driver’s License.
Prior military experience preferred. If applicants are previous military personnel, they shall have received an honorable discharge from military service and have never lost applied specialization during military career.
Job Specific Knowledge and Experience
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of instructor experience in a formal
training environment educating military students in emergency and clinical medicine.
Must possess a minimum two (2) years of experience as a Navy Enlisted
Qualification (NEC 805A) Instructor and be certified as a US Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) or equivalent.
Must possess a minimum two (2) years’ experience in course curriculum management.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of the following Naval
Must be able to qualify as a “High Risk Instructor” per guidelines set forth in OPNAVINST 1500.75 Series, Policies and Procedures or Conducting High Risk Training.
Must possess a current NRP or greater license.
Must be a current Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor.
Must be a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor.
Must be a current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) instructor.
