Purpose People, Technology and Processes, LLC is seeking a Lead Senior Software Specialist to provide support services to all VBA personnel to include students, Regional Office Training Managers, Business Lines training staff, and the VA Central Office Staff Offices accessing VBA’s training systems. *****THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWRD*****
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Deployment support.
Retirement and historical documentation
Support requests such as: User support, Developer Support, User Management and permissions and Help Desk Support. Historically, this averages approximately 425 support requests per month
Network administration
Interface with the leased network vendor
Support demonstrations, which average approximately four per month
Develop format recommendations and solutions
Provide ad-hoc data reports, which average approximately 100 reports per month
Conduct Talent Management System (TMS) item maintenance
Application of routine data retention policies as required
Infrastructure Applications Support Documentation for Training and Knowledge Transfer, which historically average approximately four document updates per month and creation of four new documents per month
Communications and Web Content Support, which historically average approximately 20 per month
Courseware Content Support, which historically averages 25 per month
Training Material Generators Support, which historically average approximately 75 new or revised items per month
Maintain and update a log of development, revisions, and maintenance of training products for VBA
Provide optimal service for the VBA for enterprise functionality and availability to support all VBA Services, Program and Staff offices.
Ensure compliance with national federal regulations.
Leverage standards to ensure interoperability.
Facilitate access to and management of information.
Integrate training data exchanges between systems to include the VA Talent Management System (TMS) and/or its future technical enhancements/replacement.
Enable efficient operations through standard change, configuration, and release processes.
Increase efficiency through cost avoidance and return on investment
Minimum Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Master’s Degree in related field and 6 years of related experience or bachelor’s degree in related field and 8 years related Experience
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively
Candidates must be able to work well with clients and team members of all levels not required
Coordinate with various internal and/or external leaders to develop creative solutions, while adhering to project deadlines and budgets
Enjoys and works well collaborating with other designers and developers to achieve solid and well thought out web-based experiences
