Up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS travel to support related Government training events, planning events or exercises.
Purpose: To locate and hire the uniquely qualified candidate to perform this key position in support of the potential PTP, LLC obligation to perform contract deliverables pursuant to the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support (MTCCS) II contract.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administration of the Mission Training Complex’s (MTC) Personnel Security, Security Awareness training, Employees Continuous Evaluation/Eligibility for access to classified National Defense Information Programs and the overall security policies. The position is responsible for the development, management, administration, and implementation of security policies and programs for the MTC Personnel Security Program for mitigating the risk of compromise of national security information. Performs duties as the Security Specialist responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, standards and training for the MTC Personnel Security mission as required by regulations to include, but not limited to, AR 380-5, Department of the Army Information Security Program; AR 25-2, Cyber Security; DoD 5200.2, Personnel Security Program; DoD 5200.1-R, Information Security Program; ICD-704, Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Government eligibility for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and other Controlled Access Program Information; ICD-705, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities; and other pertinent regulations and policies applicable to the MTC’s mission.
Required Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education, technical training or work/military experience required. Requires four (4) years directly related security specialist experience. IA Workforce: General User. No DoD Directive 8570.01-m certification requirement.
Minimum Required Experience: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Knowledge of applicable Army and DOD security policies and regulations is a must. Prior experience in the functions of an Industrial or Facility Security Officer, a government or Military Security Officer, or experience with managing security and closed facility programs and personnel clearances is highly desirable.
