Purpose: The purpose of this task order is to provide technical support services for the United States Coast Guard’s (USCG) Office of Aviation Acquisition (CG-931), including the Assistant Program Executive Officer (APEO) for Aviation Programs and individual aviation acquisition programs. This work will include, but not be limited to, support for integrated logistics, manufacturing, and systems engineering. Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
The Contractor must support a systems engineering approach to translate required capabilities and needs into design–to requirements, mature the existing products and processes, and through product realization provide an integrated and validated system that meets the stakeholder’s needs. The Contractor will be expected to prepare drafts of white papers or position papers.
The Contractor supports the LRS Program in planning and performing high-level engineering analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex solutions that require a thorough knowledge of higher scientific and technical skills to provide systems engineering (SE) support to the program management decision making process.
Requirements and Education:
A minimum ten (10) years of experience in developing systems engineering strategies to address obsolescence with revised system architectures for aircraft production, airborne sensor management, communications and spectrum management, instrumentation and evolving navigation requirements is required
Experience with USCG-unique avionics and mission system architectures as installed or being developed for USCG aircraft is desired.
